The Difference Between Psychics & Mediums...

Over the past few years I've done a lot of studying and soul searching in order to learn more about what was awakened in me after that first Reiki session. I always felt that I was intuitive and knew things that others didn't, but I would have never considered myself a psychic. Looking back on my life, I now know that's exactly what I am and what I've always been. In fact, I'm not only a psychic but I'm a psychic medium.
 
There's a lot of confusion out there as to what the difference is between being a psychic and being a medium. Even the title Psychic Medium is confusing because it's a title that doesn't quite make sense although used often. Let me explain.

"Every Medium is a Psychic but not every Psychic is a Medium.”
 
​Every person has psychic tendencies to a degree whether they realize it or not (i.e. Deja vu or knowing who's on the other end of a phone call before even picking up). Psychics use their intuition to read the energy of people, places, and things. They can pick up (perceive) information in all directions of time. This means that by reading energy they can pick up details about the past, present and/or future.
 
A medium on the other hand, is someone who is extremely psychic but who can also tap into a higher awareness energetically so that they can receive messages from the Spirit World (Angels, Ascended Masters, Spirit Guides and Deceased Loved Ones etc.). Mediums raise their energetic vibration, while the Spirit World lowers their energetic vibration so that the two meet somewhere in the middle (medium) in order to have a dialogue. Mediums must raise their vibration long enough to receive a full message. Whenever the medium draws back their vibration to its normal state, they return back to the psychic level.
 
Both psychics and mediums obtain images, sensations and messages through their psychic senses that they must then interpret. Psychics perceive these images, sensations and messages from the person, place, or thing that they are reading from, whereas mediums receive images, sensations and messages from the Spirit they are connecting to. 
 
We now know mediums are just highly developed psychics who can also speak to Spirit, so why the title Psychic Medium if a medium is already a psychic?  Good question!
 
There are some out there who only associate as being psychic and those who don't claim to be psychic but who work only as a medium. However, there are some of us who consider ourselves to be both, thus the term Psychic Medium.  Psychic Mediums not only provide insight into your life on a psychic level, but they can also relay messages from your deceased loved ones through mediumship.
