Curses & Negative Energy...

Question: Hi Kimmy, I have a question for you. What would you do to help someone who feels they have a curse on them?

Answer:  As a Psychic Medium, I first tap into the person's energy and then ask their Spirit Guides for additional information. To ensure that I am not influenced, I request that the individual refrain from providing any details before my evaluation. There are many fraudsters who claim that everyone has a curse, but the reality is that very few people actually have curses placed on them. While I acknowledge the existence of curses, there may be other reasons for the negative experiences someone is facing in their life. Here are a few examples.


When someone repeatedly makes poor decisions, the universe tends to present similar situations until that person learns and heals from what is referred to as a “soul contract lesson.” Unfortunately, people can be quite stubborn and often do not grasp these lessons on the first attempt. As a result, the universe continues to send similar experiences until the lesson is finally learned. 


A soul contract lesson is a specific life experience or challenge that our soul agrees to encounter before we are born. These lessons are designed to help us learn and grow spiritually through our interactions with other souls we have a “soul contract” with. They may involve facing difficult situations, developing certain character traits, overcoming personal limitations, or learning important values like forgiveness, compassion, self-love, responsibility, and setting boundaries. The nature of these lessons varies depending on each individual’s unique soul needs.


Some individuals may experience a spiritual attachment. These attachments are earthbound ghosts that have not moved on into the Light. They tend to feed off negative energy. If an earthbound ghost is attached to a person, it can create chaos, drama, and negativity to sustain its energy. You might notice signs of an attachment if you frequently feel drained, struggle with unexplained illnesses that doctors cannot diagnose, or begin to adopt unusual bad habits. Once a medium or healer removes the attachment, the person can begin to heal and improve their quality of life.


Another reason for experiencing bad juju is that someone might be psychically attacking you. This doesn't necessarily have to be a full-blown curse or spell; sometimes, if someone is simply wishing negative energy toward you, a sensitive person can pick up on that energy and feel its effects. Fortunately, we all have ways to protect ourselves against these attacks and to transmute that negative energy into positive energy.​

Ways to Clear Negative Energy​:​

• Burn a smudge stick consisting of Sweetgrass, White Sage, & Cedar to clear away negative energy, invite positive energy, and create an uplifting environment.
• Burn Palo Santo to bring in positive healing energy.
• Burn incense: sandalwood, lavender, sage, palo santo, rosemary, lemon, cinnamon, and cedarwood. (I personally love HEM incense)
• Burn other dry herbs such as mugwort, basil, ruda, black sage, dragon's blood resin, pinon pine, hyssop, lavender, mullein, etc.
• Lemons have purifying properties. You can clean your house with lemons or try hanging lemons and green chilies near your entrance for an extra layer of protection.
• Use House Plants to purify and promote positive energy and well-being: Tulsi plant, bamboo, aloe vera, jasmine, money plant, peace lily, and spider plant.
• Light candles to create a calming, peaceful and positive energy flow in your environment. Incorporate them in your meditation practice as well.
• Take Epsom salt baths preferably every day but at least every other day. 
• Use cleansing sprays made from sage, and palo santo when you can't burn a smudge stick.
• Use protection oils on amulets, charm bags, candles, your skin, on doorframes, and above your windows. 
• Use camphor lamps or diffuse essential oils to create a positive atmosphere in your home. 
• Wear crystals or place them around your surroundings: black tourmaline, selenite, jet, onyx, hematite, mica, smokey quartz, fluorite, ruby fuchsite, etc.
• Use sound such as wind chimes, a hand bell or Tibetan singing bowls to help break up negative energy. 
• Chanting or listening to mantras is another approach some use to remove negativity.
• Use positive affirmations daily to affirm statements such as "My home is a place of peace and positivity" or "I invite only love and happiness into this space." “I am surrounded by God’s Love and Light. I call back my energy and all negative energy sent to me must be returned to sender.”
• Use visualization methods to create a uplifting environment - visualize yourself and/or your home surrounded by bright, healing light, protected by a positive energy field.
• Incorporate spiritual or religious symbols around your house - they hold significant power to attract positive energy. 
• Surround yourself with things that bring you joy, introduce fresh flowers or plants, and incorporate natural light and ventilation. You can also try playing uplifting music while burning positive energy-associated incense.
• Work with a reputable Reiki Master or Energy Healer to clear your aura, uproot energetic cords, and balance your chakras.
• Work with a trusted Medium to remove earthbound attachments.
• Declutter and organize your home to break up stagnant energy. Remove objects in your home that are linked to negativity. Bring in natural sunlight, and fresh air (to balance energy), before you cleanse your house with sea salt. Make sure to clean all surfaces, including corners, doors, windows, carpets, curtains, and even under furniture. Pay particular attention to your entryway. Adding a pinch of sea salt to your mopping water will help remove negative energy from your floors.
• Keep a bowl filled with sea salt in the southwest corner of your home can help maintain a positive flow of energy and finances.
• Call in the Archangels and Ascended Masters to clear your energetic field (aura) and your surroundings. Ask that they clear and transmute all that does not serve your highest and greatest good across all time, dimension, space, and reality.

Please Note: Remember to open a window before burning sage, palo santo, incense and dry herbs, so the negative energy can escape.

Be very cautious if someone claims that you are under a curse and demands you pay thousands of dollars to have it removed. There are fraudsters out there, so if something doesn't feel right, trust your instincts and stop all communication with that person immediately.
